The best starting hand in the game of Texas Hold’em is of course the Pocket Rockets, or the pocket pair of Aces. When starting a round with this starting hand, you need to be both aggressive and careful at the same time. Here are a few tips you might want to use in order to play your pocket pair of Aces to your advantage.
Since you have a strong starting hand to begin with, the best way to go is to eliminate as many opponents as possible before the flop. Raise the bet by at least twice the amount of the big blind and you should see several players folding right away.
With the number of opponents already cut down substantially, you can focus on managing your risks and winning the round. Observe the possible strongest hand after seeing the Flop and watch your opponents’ betting pattern closely. If you think your pocket pair of Aces is still the strongest possible hand, raise the bet again and proceed confidently.
Continue to repeat these steps after the Turn and the River. If you see another Ace on the table, you have over 70% chance of winning the round and claiming the pot money.
